NEXT CONCERT

Our February concert will be on Saturday February 8th.

Our programme will feature the beautiful melodies of Rachmaninov's Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini, a concertante tour de force for solo piano and orchestra, featured in many films. The soloist in the Rachmaninov will be Julie Zhang from Chetham's School of Music.

The concert will also include the well-known music from Superman, Jurassic Park, ET, Star Wars and Harry Potter, all composed by John Williams and from Back to the Future by Alan Silvestri.

We are delighted to welcome back Stephen Threlfall to conduct the concert.

CONCERT DETAILS

Founded in 1947 the orchestra works with professional conductors and soloists and gives 5 concerts a year in the Evans Theatre in Wilmslow Leisure Centre. We also accompany choral societies.

We are always happy to hear from anyone interested in playing with us and any organisation interested in sponsoring us or in advertising in our programme. We also have a celeste for hire.
